E- vigilant , a robot that hunts down thieves

 The French start-up EOS has developed a dedicated robotic site monitoring
 such as industrial sheds and warehouses. Dubbed E- vigilant , this robot ap-
 ready to revolutionize the world of security. The thieves had better watch out!
 E- vigilant can lead his round and report to a security center anomalies .
E- alert is a very discreet robot that looks more like a vacuum cleaner that
 Robocop . He comes out of the charger cradle at a preset time and how
 begins his rounds to walk totally independently in the
 premises. He is able to report an outbreak of fire , water leakage or
 a suspected intrusion. On this last point is particularly vigilant E-
 effective since he knows the difference between a real intrusion and the passage of a
 rodent. When it detects motion , it prevents an operator who can
 take control of the robot with a remote control. Using the
 board camera, the operator can check whether the alert is justified .
 E- vigilant can also emit a loud alarm and flash
 blinding to scare the intruder. It can also communicate via
 speakers.
In January 2013, EOS Innovation has received funding of € 200,000 from the Scientipôle investment funds
 Capital, a welcome boost to accelerate the development of the E- Vigilante . But robotics trouble
 convince investors . It is less risky for them to support projects in digital, as projects
 robots, long and complex to develop . In most cases, the company does not release sales
 Business during the product development. It is therefore more difficult to find investors.

 After a first test at Renault, EOS Innovation deployed its E- Vigilante surveillance robot in a warehouse
