
The US company Motorola Solutions has developed a futuristic headset
hosting a computer and for industrial and military use, more
specifically in aerospace , communications , aviation
and defense .
This headset computer running Windows CE and baptized HC1 ( Head
Computer) thus allows hands free and use them for other
tasks , like holding a gun or review plans. HC1 has a
OMAP dual core running at 800 Mhz.
It has a memory of 512 MB and has several facilities :
Digital compass , gyroscope , accelerometer , two buttons pro-
ble , a camera, a microphone, an SD card reader and a screen
backlit SVGA (600 x 800 pixels) located above the eye of the user .
To function, the HC1 requires a Wi -Fi network and can also be
connected via Bluetooth to communicate with a tablet or smartphone. The helmet embeds technology
voice recognition developed by Nuance and can also be controlled by the movements of the hands and
head. HC1 Motorola Solutions is priced at $ 4,000 (about € 3,100 ) .
Companies wishing to equip this computer headset will design their own applications through
the SDK in C ++ and C # supplied with the unit . The video below demonstrates the effectiveness of helmets

care while communicating vital information about the health status of the patient.
